Hi, everyone - five weeks and counting! More information
on the new album, but we still don't know much more about the
CD-ROM. Sometime around when the new album comes out, SiD may be
changing slightly, but details on that aren't finalized yet.

        New Album Tim <glutta@ctrvax.vanderbilt.edu>
I was flipping through the October issue of RIP magazine
when I saw a thrilling sight on page 7: a full page ad for the
new Queensryche "Promised Land" album! Complete with the
October 18 release date and a shot of the tri-ryche atop a totem
pole - perhaps the cover art? You might want to take a look just
        for the cool visuals!

        New Album Kevin <laferrie@bashfull.usmcs.maine.edu>
The latest information that I have seen is that the new
album is called "Promised Land," and that the release date is
October 18th. Dream Theater's new album is called "Awake," and
it is coming out on Oct. 4th.

        New Single <m.j.thomas-se2@computer-science.birmingham.ac.uk>
I heard from the Dream Theater mailing list that the
first single off "The Promised Land" will be called 'I am I' and
will be out on the 5th of October.

        New Album Clive <c.mccaig@queens-belfast.ac.uk>
I've got some hard information regarding the new album.
The tracks are '9:28 AM,' 'I Am I,' 'Damaged,' 'Out of Mind,'
'Bridge,' 'Promised Land,' 'Disconnected,' 'Lady Jane,' 'My
Global Mind,' 'One More Time,' and 'Someone Else?'
Sources that have heard the album say it contains some of
the "richest and most sophisticated" 'Ryche songs yet. There
will be a complete full update in next week's Kerrang. Also
regarding the release date, we here in the UK are getting it 8
days before the US, on October 10th - just thought I'd rub it in
        a little. ;)

        Mail-Order? Cameron <camshaft@werple.apana.org.au>
I bought myself a copy of "Rage for Order" the other
week, and I was blown away by the level of musicianship that the
guys possess, especially Geoff's _awesome_ voice!
Does anyone know of a good reputable mail order company
in the states that handles international orders? I am hoping to
a get a copy of "The Promised Land" with the CD-ROM here in
Australia without having to wait forever for it to arrive in the
stores over here without the CD-ROM.

        B-Sides Dave <dgood@pomona.claremont.edu>
In addition to the 'Scarborough Fair' and 'Last Time in
Paris' B-sides, an acoustic version of 'I Dream in Infrared' is
on the 'Jet City Woman' single, I think. It's pretty good and
you should get it if you happen to find it.

        B-Sides Darren <darren.wilkes@bj.co.uk>
I bought the double CD-single of 'Silent Lucidity' a few
years ago that had 'Last Time in Paris' as one of the extra
tracks. Other extra tracks on the two discs were live versions
of 'Operation Mindcrime,' 'Suite Sister Mary' and one other I
can't remember at the moment. All of the live tracks were taken
from the "Livecrime" video, as far as I can tell.
By the way, I actually bought the "Last Action Hero"
soundtrack on CD so that I could have 'Real World' - I managed
to find it cheap in a petrol station though. I prefer the
Megadeth track 'Angry Again,' which is the best on the album.

        B-Sides Markus <mb@marie.physik.tu-berlin.de>
The Song 'Last Time in Paris' was also released on the
'Another Rainy Night (Without You)' maxi.

        Unplugged Scott <mussk@uxa.ecn.bgu.edu>
I finally found "Unplugged... and Other Stories" at the
local CD shop. Does anyone know if this is the only version?
The cover for this one is the guys standing - possibly leaning on
something - with their backstage passes around their necks.
Please let me know if this is the same disc everyone else has,
and advise me of the quality - both the unplugged stuff and the
other material. Please e-mail me, as the store will only hold it
        for a couple of days!

        Mary's Demise Chris <csimmns@whale.st.usm.edu>
I agree with Larry. To dwell too long on Mary's death is
to rob the rest of the album's glory of attention. The main
question I have concerning Queensryche is what is going to be on
the CD-ROM. That's the only thing I'm curious about.

        Rage Concept Christopher <keeler@eden.rutgers.edu>
Not to bring up an old topic, but I do believe that "Rage
For Order" is a concept album. The inside of the CD cover even
says "Concept by Queensryche," or something like that.

        Rage Boots Bryon <muse@itnlan.ampr.ab.ca>
A couple of months ago, I saw an article in here about
the lack of live tapes from the "Rage" tour. I have one of them
playing live in Winnipeg when they were opening for AC/DC. I'd
be willing to trade for copies of other live appearances.
By the way, it's great to hear about the new Album. I
        can't wait.

        Unplugged Stefan <stefan-a@dsv.su.se>
I'm looking for the "Unplugged" performance. Could
someone list the bootlegs of it and also the sound quality of the
        discs and additional info? Thanks!

If you watch the movie "Snapdragon" - ok, my friends and
I watch bad movies - you'll hear the ever-so-common announcement
        in the background. Also,
