Read the fine print:  When was the last time you gave someone
written permission to monitor and tape your telephone conversations?  
Well, if you have a Woolco credit card in your pocket, you've given 
an outfit called GE capital the right to do just that in your dealings 
with them.  And if you have any credit card, that's just one of the 
many conditions you've agreed to-and it's spelled out in the fine print.



In filing a Statement of Defence:

1)Prepare your papers 
Anything relevant to your defence ie: 
briefly describe your standings, 
briefly state your position in defence, 
have letters to creditors, 
list of telephone contacts, 
show time/date for calls to creditors or agencies, 
have copies of statements from creditors,
witness accounts if possible, 
medical certificates if illness has occured

2)Make a list of Creditors 
Those you have dealings with: 
Past, references 
Present references 
Characters references 
Banks you have dealings with 
Student Loans receipts

3)Prepare a financial budget 
All monies you have incoming: 
list all sources current, 
state where your financial resources are utilized, 
provide copies of banking receipts,

4)Proposal 
To the creditors/plaintiff: 
estimate their response to a term payment arrangement, 
liquidate property to cover debts, 
propose a wage garnish arrangment, 
suggest a full payment on the principal.

5)Send your Defence with proposal
You can stave off legal action:
This may be ample to gather funds together.
Gives you time to get your affairs together in preparation
of going to court.
