This  is  Irwin  Schiff's  fourth  book on the federal income tax, and
reveals in shocking detail how every aspect of it  is  implemented  in

Approximately  400,000  copies  of  Schiff's books are in circulation.
His best seller,  "How  Anyone  Can   Stop   Paying   Income   Taxes,"
published  in  1982,  caused  the  government,  in 1983, to enact laws
designed to frustrate the public's  ability  to  use  the  information
contained  in  that  book.   That  book also caused the government, in
1983, to change the Privacy Act Notice,  which  actually  informs  the
public  that  NO  ONE IS REQUIRED TO FILE INCOME TAX RETURNS. However,
the government still words that notice,  which  appears  in  all  1040
booklets, so the public can not figure this out.

In  "The  Federal  Mafia,"  Schiff  provides excerpts from IRS manuals
which  show  how IRS agents routinely break the law.  One such excerpt
admits, for example, that people "may refuse" to  be  audited  by  the
IRS, further revealing that those who are audited are tricked (unknown
to  themselves)  into  surrendering constitutional rights.  Similarly,
people surrender constitutional  rights  when  they  file  income  tax
returns, mistakenly believing that this is what the law requires  them
to do.

Few  Americans  realize  that the word "income" is not even defined in
the law, and that the Supreme Court defined it as a corporate  profit.
This  means,  that  since individuals are not corporations, no one, by
law, can have "income" that can be subject to  an  "income"  tax.   In
addition, Americans are under the false impression that the income tax
is  imposed  pursuant  to  the 16th Amendment.  In this book, you will
discover, however, that the income tax is imposed IN VIOLATION OF THAT
AMENDMENT.

Did you know, for example, that INCOME TAXES HAVE TO BE ASSESSED  JUST
LIKE  PROPERTY  TAXES?   And, if you do not file an income tax return,
there is no lawful way the government can assess you.   Did  you  know
that  no law says that you have to pay income taxes or that you can be
"liable" for such a tax, though such provisions are contained  in  the
law  in  connection  with  *other*  taxes?  Would you believe that the
United States Tax Court is really a bureaucratic agency that is called
a "court" in order to dupe and intimidate the public?

Are you aware that there are no criminal statutes that apply to income
taxes?  And, there is no law giving federal courts authorization (i.e.
jurisdiction) to prosecute anyone for income tax  "crimes".   Discover
in  this  book,  for  example  how Leona Helmsley's lawyers could have
stopped her trial the first day  it  opened.   The  question  is,  why
didn't they do it?

The February, 1991 issue of 'The Reader's Digest' contained an article
entitled  "How the IRS Abuses Taxpayers."  The article reports that in
1989 "The IRS filed 904,000 liens, levied 2.3  million  paychecks  and
bank  accounts,  and  made 13,000 seizures of property."  Chapter 7 of
this book explains why EVERY ONE  OF  THESE  SEIZURES  AND  LIENS  WAS
ILLEGAL!   That article also stated that "It's time [for Americans] to
fight back."  THIS BOOK WILL GIVE  YOU  THE  AMMUNITION  TO  DO  *JUST
THAT!*

This is merely part of the information contained in this amazing book.
It reveals, chapter and verse, how the IRS prepares bogus documents in
order  to  collect  income  taxes in violation of law.  And while this
book tears the mask off the IRS, it also exposes its partners in crime
-- our  duplicitous  federal  judiciary,  our  lawless  Department  of
Justice, and a culpable U.S. Congress.

While  this  book  deals  with  what is normally a dry subject, income
taxes, it is written in the humorous and entertaining style that  have
made  all  of Irwin Schiff's books so popular with the public.  If you
are unfamilar with the income tax rip off -- as are most Americans  --
prepare  to  be shocked.  Sadly, if the facts in this book were not so
thoroughly documented, it would be unbelievable as a work of  fiction.
