Notes, in general:
(i) The mirror at ftp.cs.jhu.edu will be temporarily out of date on
those files changed/created by this update. I hope the changeover
of the mirror won't take too long.
(ii) I have set up an incoming ftp area for the archive BUT IT IS ONLY
AVAILABLE BY ARRANGEMENT, e-mail me for details. So, if you have

The RGB FAQ is not so much a list of Frequently Asked Questions
as it is a repository of Occassionally Referenced Lists (ORL).
The typical discussion in RGB is about particular bidding situations
and about the play of cards during a game. There is also some discussion
about the politics of Bridge (quite a popular topic in the U.S. :-) )
and the merits of various systems.
The remaining stuff is what this FAQ is meant to cover. If you ask a
question about Bridge Books, or computer programs, or the Internet
Bridge server (OKBridge) or even some systems/conventions then it is quite
easy to miss responses (if there *is* one, that is). The RGB FAQ will try
to maintain lists of Books, Programmes Systems, Conventions, and anything
else people may find useful to store somewhere, such as the ACBL General
Convention Chart, a list of Bridge Clubs/Contact points for your area, etc.
If there is something you would like to see in the FAQ then please
email the maintainer.

The RGB FAQ is available for anonymous ftp on rgb.anu.edu.au [150.203.5.35],
or on the mirror site ftp.cs.jhu.edu [128.220.13.50].
The directory is /pub/Bridge/FAQ.
Underneath it there is also a /pub/Bridge/FAQ/Programmes directory
which contains a large variety of ftp-able Bridge software.
The maintainer is Markus Buchhorn (markus@arp.anu.edu.au) who does not
make any claims to bridge-geniusness. The mirror at John Hopkins
is maintained by Dwight Wilson (wilson@blaze.cs.jhu.edu) - I don't know
about his Bridge skills :-).
If you can't ftp, mail me and we can discuss options. One technique is
ftpmail - ftp executed via e-mail - which usually works quite well.
If you have any additions/contributions to the FAQ, please mail them to me
and I will make them available.
I hope that this FAQ/ftp site will provide at least one person with
help without having to wade (Apologies to Rudy) through the RGB battlefield :-)
