Design Lineage:

NCC-1709/NCC-1709-A (c.2470-2492): The first and second USS Seawolf were 1,975
meters in length and still greatly overpowered her predecesor, the Galaxy
Class starship. Commanded by Captain Michael Jefferson, the 1709 accomplished
further exploration of the Milky Way Galaxy, along with the discovery of fourty-
six new worlds (thirty-eight of which contained intelligent life) along with the
whereabouts of the Borg home world. In 2481, the Supernova was recalled to
Starbase 001 at Earth for a scheduled upgrade, thus creating NCC-1709-A which
was also commanded by Captain Michael Jefferson. The Supernova-A contained a
greatly improved warp drive system allowing her to travel beyond Warp 12. This
seemed impossible as travelling beyond Warp 10 enduces a time warp. A new
system was developed, the Linear Transit Damper, which allowed this ship to
travel at her maximum speed without entering a time warp.

NCC-1709-B (c. 2492-2506): The third Supernova was 5,975 meters long and
contained prototype version of a state-of-the-art Hyperdrive Proplusion System.
The hyperdrive allowed the Supernova-B to travel just beyond Warp 30, which
is hyperspeed. (Warp 30 is 24,300,000 times the speed of light)
She was destroyed in a large-scale Borg attack while defending a Felusian
outpost. It took four Borg vessels to destroy her, but she managed to take out
three of them before her destruction. The Supernova-B was commanded by Captain
Tasha Hiroshi and over her fourteen-year service to the Alliance, she discovered
eight new galaxies, three-hundred and two new worlds and two-hundred eighty-
five new intelligent lifeforms.

NCC-1709-C (c. 2535-2560): The fourth Supernova was 10,000 meters long and was
commanded by Captain James Peterson. The Supernova-C was responsible for the
colinization of over seventy-six worlds in the new galaxies that were discovered
by the Supernova-B, the discovery of eighteen new lifeforms and peace treaties
between several races. Supernova-C is now used as an Alliance training vessel.

NCC-1709-D (c. 2560-2580): The fifth Supernova Class was Supernova-D. She was
21,500 meters long and was the first official Alliance Heavy Battlecruiser-type
vessel. As the war between the the Romulan Star Empire, the Borg and the Ferengi
started in 2563 (Stardate 63128.2), the Alliance needed a vessel to even the
odds. The Seawolf-D was this vessel. She was responsible for preventing many
attacks on Alliance worlds, and saved over five-hundred billion lives. She was
decommisioned on Stardate 80112.3.

NCC-1709-E (c. 2580-2585): The Supernova-E was the sixth starship of her class
to serve the Alliance. She wasn't any longer than the Supernova-D, but over
three times more powerful.

NCC-1709-EX (c. 2588-2591): The seventh Supernova Class starship was the
Supernova-EX. This starship was a prototype vessel incorperating the
revolutionary Quadrillium Mark IX Hyperdrive System-B, which allowed the vessel
to travel beyond Warp 36 (which was the maximum velocity of Supernova-D) and
reach an emergency speed of Warp 47.5. The EX also included several state-of-
the-art tactical systems.

NCC-1709-EXB (c. 2592-Present): The most recent achievment in the Supernova
Class Project is the Seawolf-EXB. This ship incorperates the new Quadrillium
Mark IX Hyperdrive System-C. This propulsion unit produced a slightly greater
velocity, but is much less power-consuming than the System-B on the Supernova-
EX and has the abilty to produce a 4,650 nanosecond burst of energy equivalent
to Warp 184.7. The maximum velocity of the Supernova-EXB is Warp 48 (Maximum
emergency speed of Warp 52.8). The EXB is 122 kilometers long.

Hull:

The primary hull of the Supernova is six meters thick, which is powerful
enough to withstand over thirty torpedo impacts to one area at one time. The
inner deflector grid is required to remain active at twenty percent output at
all times.

*The entire hull of the Supernova (excluding impulse engines, main defector dish
bussard ramscoops and hyper engine field grills) are coated with LiCu 950 Liquid
Emitter Crystals which allows phasers to be fired from almost any surface of the
ship.

SPECIAL WEAPONS:

DF Missile System: A standard ship to ship missile system, generally used to
destroy small asteroids, shuttles and ships.

HS Missile System: Seeks out any heat source eminating from within a ship and
locks onto it.

IR Missile System: The Image Recognition missile locks onto the vessel that
the ship's sensors are currently locked onto and seeks it out.

FF Missile System: The Friend or Foe missile locks only onto enemies so allies
aren't accidentally hit.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Laser Cannons: A standard weapon used to destroy small asteroids and disable
shuttles or enemy fighters.

Neutron Cannons: Able to fire a maximum of 500 MW of energy. (Destroys shuttles)

Mass-Driver Cannons: Able to fire a mamimum of 1500 MW of energy. (Mild damage
to starships)

Plasma Cannons: Able to fire a maximum of 2 TW of energy. (Major damage to
starships)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

MARK-I Photon Torpedo: Standard Photon Torpedo (2.0 kg warhead)
MARK-II Photon Torpedo: Twice as powerful as MARK-I (4.0 kg warhead)
MARK-III Photon Torpedo: Twice as powerful as MARK-II (8.0 kg warhead)
MARK-IV Photon Torpedo: Twice as powerful as MARK-III (16.0 kg warhead)
MARK-V Photon Torpedo: Twice as powerful as MARK-IV (32.0 kg warhead)
MARK-VI Photon Torpedo: Twice as powerful as MARK-V (64.0 kg warhead)

MARK-XVI Plasma Torpedo: Twice as powerful as MARK-XV (640 kg warhead)
MARK-XVII Plasma Torpedo: Twice as powerful as MARK-XVI (1280 kg warhead)
MARK-IX Plasma-Seeking Torpedo: Locks onto cloaked ships (8.0 kg warhead)

*NOTE: Photon torpedos use a matter/anti-matter warhead, therefore;
 1 kg of M/AM = 5 megatonnes of c. 1992 warhead

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TYPE-Z Plasma Phaser Emitter (LiCu 950): Standard phaser emitter.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MARK-III Disrupter Arrays (x12): Emits a high-voltage energy beam which over-
loads most circuits on an enemy ship. Maximum power output of 250 million
terrawatts

MARK-IV Plasma Energy Arrays (x8): Emits pure plasma energy at an enemy target.
In short, a high-powered disrupter. Maximum power output of 100 billion
terrawatts

MARK-II Radial Phase Emitter (x2): Emits a high-energy "ring" of plasma heading
out in all directions, horizontally, with a maximum range of 10 million kilo-
meters. Maximum power output of 1 trillion terrawatts.

MARK-I Radial Shockwave Emitter (x2): Emits a high-energy "ring" of energy
heading out in all directions, horzontally, with a maximum range of 50 million
kilometers. Has the same effect as a nova.

MARK-I Quantum Phase Inhibiter (x2): Capable of halting all nuclear reaction
within a star, inturn destroying all life requiring photosynthetic energy and/
or solar light to survive within that solar system. The effected star
disintegrates shortly after being hit.

MARK-II Inter-Dimensional Flux System (x1): This is the seconds most powerful
weapon known in the universe. Upon activation, an inter-dimensional "gate"
opens on one side of the target and a gate leading to a parallel dimension
appears on the exact other side. As these two gates move closer to one another,
caused by their gravties working against each other, the target is slowly pulled
apart. Each gate has the gravitational effects of a black hole.

MARK-II Rapid Pulse Reflex System (x1): A prototype offensive system that is
capable of destroying an entire galaxy. This system utilizes almost all
available power on board the ship, focuses it on the exact center of the target
and fire the ship's energy, along with pure plasma energy. Once the target is
hit, all life on it is instantly destroyed and seconds later, the target is
completely abolished, leaving nothing left of it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SPECIAL SYSTEMS AND INTERESTING FACTS:

*The Supernova has twenty-six ship bays. Eight of which (1,2,3,4,10,12,23,26)
are starship bays that can occupy a total of 335 Galaxy Class Starships. Two
other bays (24,25) are tactical fighter bays which can occupy 20,000 fighters.
The rest are shuttle bays which occupy 15,000 shuttles.

*There are six-thousand decks on the Supernova, 680 turbo-elevators and a rapid-
transit system which can go from aft to bow in under five minutes. In emergen-
cies, the requested crew members use sight-to-sight transporting.

*The Supernova has the ability to transport with shields up.

*Due to her Hyperdrive, the Supernova can instantly regenerate her power after
it's been used.

*As well as being able to fire a phaser from anywhere on the ship, a tractor
beam can also be emitted from anywhere on the ship.

*The Supernova a crew/resident's lounge located on deck 1500-forward. This
lounge is actually more like a huge amusement area. 1500-Forward is one-hundred
decks high and allows for almost any activity from relaxing in an artificial
sun and getting a tan, to the old earth custom a bungee-jumping. There's also
several low-gravity gymnasiums, holodecks, bridge simulators, pools, and
hundreds of other activities.

*The Supernova is equiped with a Molecular Phase Inverter. This is a cloaking
device, like the main cloaking device that is used on board, but this system
completely phases all of the ships molecules, along with all lifeforms aboard
out of the third dimension. The MPI allows the Supernova to be completely
undetectable by any other ships sensors, which also makes conventional weapons
useless agaist her. There are two down sides to this system however, the MPI
gives off a radiation signature that can be detected, but only if the other ship
is scanning for that type of radiation. Also, when the Supernova is "phased",
her weapons are also useless againt anything that isn't phased. By channeling
an anion field through the deflector grids, the MPI is deactivated and the ship
becomes de-phased.

*The Supernova has a state-of-the-art cloaking device which allows her to fire
any conventional weapon (except Reflex Cannon) while remaining cloaked.

*In an emergency requiring all personnel to abandon ship, the sight-to-sight
transporters are used to transport all personnel to emergency escape pods. The
escape pods then launch and move away from the ship at Warp 1. It takes just
under five minutes to completly evacuate all 7.6 million personnel.
