device called PROJECT GENESIS, wrested control of another Federation

Admiral Kirk's defeat of Khan and the creation of the Genesis planet
are empty victories. Spock is dead and McCoy is unexplainably being
driven insane. Then an unexpected visit from Sarek, Spock's father,
provides a startling revelation: McCoy is harboring Spock's living
essence. With one friend alive and one not, but both in pain, Kirk
attempts to help his friends by stealing the Enterprise and defying
Starfleet's Genesis planet quarantine. But the Klingons have also
learned of Genesis and race to meet Kirk in a deadly rendezvous.

A mysterious alien power is threatening Earth by evaporating the
oceans and destroying the atmosphere. In their desperate attempt
to save mankind, Kirk and his crew must time travel to 1986 San
Fransisco where they find a world of punk, pizza and exact change
buses that are as alien as anything they've ever encountered in
the galaxy. Their mission: To get some humpback whales and return
with them to the 23rd Century...in a desperate hope that the whale's
will communicate where Man cannot.
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (8454.1) 06-09-89
The Enterprise is called to take care of a hostage situation on a
planet where Klingon, Romulan and Federation all co-exist in an
uneasy peace. But when they arrive they find the unexpected: The
planet has been taken over by Spock's radical half brother: Sybok,
a reactionary Vulcan who has rejected logic and dispassionism for
the world of Emotions. And he has only one goal: To steal a
starship, and take it across the unbreachable Great Barrier at the
center of the Galaxy in order to reach; and to speak with...God.
But once there, he finds that all is not as it first appears to be.
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (8679.25) 12-06-91
Kirk and the Enterprise are called back from retirement to go on
one last mission for Starfleet Command. Her goal: To escort a
Klingon peace delagation that is on a desperate mission to save
the rapidly disintigrating Klingon Empire...and they can only do
it by Allying with the Federation. But when the Enterprise fires
a shot on the Klingon ship without Kirk's knowledge...the Klingon
ship attacks back, and Kirk surrenders in order to preserve the
peace. The Federation is ordered to leave Kirk where he is; as any
attempt to rescue him will be considered an act of war. But when
Sulu and his ship...the 'Excelsior' arrive...the buttons are pressed
and the galaxy poises for WAR!

eventually to collect him. In the meantime, Picard must deal with
re-surfaced feelings about Locutus and the Borg and Guinan must also
confront her own problems with the Borg. Picard and Guinan will discuss
some of their feelings in a very dramatic fencing scene.
24) THE NEXT PHASE (45xxx.x) 05-30-92
Romulans! Due to a transporter accident which shifts
them out of phase, Ro and Geordi are presumed dead. While Data prepares
their funeral, they discover the Romulan plot and try to figure out how
to communicate it to their comrades. There was a wonderful slide of
Ro holding a phaser to Riker's head as he blasted out notes on his
trombone. Apparently she's not so fond of his playing...?
25) INNER LIGHT (45xxx.x) 06-06-92
Picard's life is in serious jeopardy when he is hit by energy from an alien
probe, and it causes him to live out the life of another man...right through
his entire life! Patrick Stewart's real-life son, Daniel, will play
Picard's son.
26) TIME'S ARROW (45959.1) 06-20-92
During renovation of part of San Francisco, construction
crews discover evidence of extra-terrestrial visitations to Earth in
late 19th century. Amongst the artifacts is Data's head! Data must
then confront his own mortality while the _Enterprise_ tries to figure
out who was there and why. In the process, Data gets sucked through a
time warp and back into the 1890's, where he meets Mark Twain...and a
rather prominent San Francisco socialite named Madame Guinan. This
episode is a cliff-hanger, to be resolved next fall.

This is being rewritten as it is being shot, but is rumored to involve
Guinan and possibly Q. Spiner has been saying "For the rest of this
season, I don't have a head" at conventions. Speculate all you want.
Sirtis said at a Minneapolis con that things as still confused even
after part II is over.
2) REALM OF FEAR (46xxx.x) 10-03-91
Lieutenant Reginald Barclay is back (played by Dwight Schultz).
This time he has a neurosis about transporters; i.e. he is terrified
to use them and he seeks Troi's help to cure it.
3) MAN OF THE PEOPLE (46xxx.x) 10-10-91
A heavy-duty Troi episode in which Marina gets aged and is thus
required to wear heavy make-up, giving Marina a new-found respect
for Michael Dorn and his make-up. And in this episode, Troi *dies*
(non-permanently, no doubt).
4) RELICS (46xxx.x) 10-17-91
The crew of the Enterprise-D encounters an abandoned Federation
transport ship, activates the transporter, and Scotty
(played by James Doohan) appears.
Seems he was beamed up one time too many and became suspended in
molecular limbo for 75 years. He works together with the chief
engineer of the Ent-D to save the ship. He is still alive in their
time frame at the end allowing him to do further guest shots on this
show or on DS9.

RUMORED EPISODES *MAYBE* COMING UP IN SEASON 6

"Limits" (? - ?): Strange happenings aboard the Enterprise lead to a
discovery that warp engines are environmentally damaging the fabric of
space. Sounds like another bad attempt to relate Star Trek to today's
social issues. "The Way to Eden"? Strike One! "The Outcast"? Strike Two!
"Limits"? Most likely Strike Three!
"The Rivals" (? - ?): A study of the impact of competition in Geordi and
a rival who renew their relationship while the Enterprise tries to get rid
of an alien plane.
"Duelling Qs" (? - ?): Q is back (sans Vash), and is dueling (in some
sort of Olympiad) with another member of the Q continuum, played by William
Campbell (who played Trelane in "Squire of Gothos"). They haven't
mentioned whether this means that Trelane was a member of the Q continuum
or if this is a separate character. Our Q uses Enterprise crew for his
team, and the other team is manned by a band of genius bodybuilders. Some
of the events that were to take place would be a race through an asteroid
field, a very bizzare boxing match in a triangular ring with a circular
booth in the center, an alien poker game, a kind of Spartacus-like last
conflict and an American Gladiators event. Page 24 of the 8/19/92 issue of
the UK newspaper "The Independent" said that Arnold Schwarzenegger has
signed on to be in an upcoming episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
The October 1992 Cinefantastique backed this up. WPIX in New York reported
that Arnold would be on TNG as "an alien captain". Herb Wright (formerly
on the TNG writing staff) said that if they had gone through with "Dueling
Q's," he could have gotten Arnold to head the rival team gathered by the
female Q, stating that it would have brought a huge audience to that
episode. This one may be canceled due to cost overruns (Mostly due to
Nimoy's previous appearance, I'd guess). Whoopi Goldberg guest stars as
Guinan!!
"Rascals" or "Undercover" (? - ?): Away team members are reduced to
children due to a transporter accident. I assume this means phsically,
rather than mentally.
"[?]" (? - ?): The Borg are back! And they brought more ships with them
this time--but they have changed a little. They wre working with seven
different Borg costumes. [speculation: my guess is that we get to see
some other species that the Borg have stolen bodies from (Klingon, Romulan,
and/or Ferengi; I *hope* the change is not that they have gained compassion
--hm]
"Q and Order" (if they decide to go with this idea): Q brings the
Enterprise (or some of its members) into the Q Continuum.
