The 14-year-old boy who successfully passed himself off as a Chicago
police officer in the presence of other officers for several hours in
February has broken the law again.

In a suit and tie Friday and posing as a potential buyer, he allegedly
stole a luxury car from a South Side dealership and rode around for a
few hours before leading police in a chase that ended in a crash, police

A salesperson at a dealership in the 7200 block of South Western Avenue
offered the boy a test drive in a 1990 black Lexus sedan the teen was
interested in, but the car=E2=80=99s battery was dead. After the battery was
charged, the salesperson was to accompany the boy on the ride but first
needed to return the charger. When the salesperson returned, the teen
and the car were gone, police said.
