      Title: Butterscotch yams
 Categories: Low-fat/low, Vegetables
      Yield: 6 Servings
 
      6 md Yams -- cook,peel, quarter
    1/2 c  Light corn syrup -- or dark
    1/2 c  Firmly packed light brown
           Sugar
    1/4 c  Evaporated skim milk
      1 ts Butter
    1/4 ts Salt
    1/2 ts Cinnamon
 
  Preheat oven to 325F.  Arrange yams in single layer in 13x9x2 inch
  baking dish.  Bake 15 min.  Meanwhile, combine remaining ingredients
  in a med. saucepan. Stirring constantly, bring to boil over med.
  heat, boilf for 5 min.  Por over yams.  Return dish to oven and bake,
  basting frequently, for at least 15 min.
