1 ts SUGAR
3/4 ts SALT
1 ts DRY MUSTARD
1/2 ts PAPRIKA
1 x DASH OF PEPPER
2 c VEGETABLE OIL
1 1/2 tb LEMON JUICE
1 tb BOILING WATER
IN A DEEP BOWL, AT HIGH SPEED OF AN ELECTRIC MIXER, BEAT THE EGG UNTIL
THICK AND LEMON COLORED. ADD SUGAR, SALT, DRY MUSTARD, PAPRIKA AND
PEPPER. MIX WELL. ADD ONE CUP OF OIL IN A SMALL PENCIL STREAM,
BEATING UNTIL MIXTURE BEGINS TO THICKEN. ADD LEMON JUICE, MIXING
WELL. ADD REMAINING OIL, IN A THIN STREAMBEATING ON HIGH UNTIL
MIXTURE IS THICK. ADD WATER, MIXING WELL. SPOON MAYONAISE INTO GLASS
OR PLASTIC CONTAINER; COVER TIGHTLY AND CHILL.
