Title: Potato kugel
Yield: 6 Servings
9 ea Potatoes, grated
4 ea Slices bacon
1/2 ea Onion, chopped
1 c Milk, boiled
1 ea Egg, beaten
2 tb (heaping) sour cream
1 ds Salt
1 ds Pepper
Put potatoes into colander and press out juices. Cook bacon and keep
the fat. (Vegetarians omit meat.) Combine potatoes, bacon, onion and
hot bacon fat, and pour into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Pour milk
over top. Pour on egg and sour cream. Salt and pepper to taste.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until light brown on top. Serve
immediately or let flavors blend overnight. Serves 6.
