Title: Diabetic date nut cookies

      1 c  Diabetic Orange Marmalade
      1 ts Baking Soda
    1/2 c  Shortening
      2 c  Flour
      1    Egg
      1 c  Chopped Dates
    1/2 ts Cinnamon
      1 c  Nuts
      1 ts Vanilla
 
  Mix all ingredients together well.  Drop by teaspoon on greased
  sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes in a 350oF preheated oven.  Makes 36
