Title: Smothered green beans
Yield: 4 Servings
1/2 c Chopped bacon
1/4 c Diced ham
1/2 c Diced onion
1 ts Chopped garlic
1 lb Green beans, trimmed
Salt and black pepper
In a saucepan cook bacon until fat begins to render. Add ham, onion
and garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add beans and 1 cup water and bring
to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until beans are very tender, 8 to
10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Drain. Transfer to a warm
dish for serving.
