      Title: Alsatian tart dough

      Yield: 4 Servings
 
    1/2 c  Unsalted butter
    1/2 c  Sugar
    1/8 ts Salt
      3    Eggs; room temperature
    1/2 ts Vanilla extract
      2 ts Grated orange zest
      1 c  Flour
 
  Cream the butter, sugar, and salt until light and fluffy, then add
  the eggs one at a time and beat until smooth after each addition. Add
  the vanilla and orange zest, then stir in the flour. Using a spatula,
  smooth the batter into the tart pan, pushing it up against the edges
  to make a slight rim. Fill and bake.
