Title: Apple roll

      Yield: 6 Servings
 
      3 c  Flour
      6 ts Baking powder
      6 tb Shortening (lard)
           Milk, enough to form biscuit
           -batter,
           Roll thin, cover with sliced
           -tart
           Apples, roll lke jelly roll
           -and slice
           Into a tin (good sized
           -baking dish) put:
      2 c  Maple syrup
      2 c  Hot water
      1 tb Butter
 
  Make rich baking powder biscuits using:
  
  Bring this to a boil in hot (400) oven.  Put slices in this. Bake
  until brown and serve in cereal dishes with its own sauce poured over
