  1 1/2 c  Vinegar
      1    Handful? basil, fresh;
           -shredded
 
  Heat vinegar until just before boiling.  Combine basil and vingegar
  in a glass bottle, and let cool.  Seal tightly, and infuse for two
  weeks. Strain the vinegar into a fresh bottle, and add a sprig of
  basil.
