      2 ts Vegetable oil
      1 lb Veal shoulder arm steak, cut
    3/4    -1inch thick
    1/4 ts Salt
    1/8 ts Coarsely ground black
           -pepper
      1 sm Onion, thinly sliced
    1/4 c  Water
      2    Red potatoes, unpeeled,
           -halved
    1/4 lb Snow peas, strings removed
