      1 lg Egg
      1    Bottle beer
  1 3/4 c  Flour
  1 1/2 ts Baking powder
    1/4 ts Salt
      6 md Onions
 
  Mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. Mix beer and egg. Add dry
  ingredients gently to the beer-egg mixture. Stir to blend. Slice
  onions 1/4 inch thick and separate into rings. Dip onion rings in
  batter. Fry 2 to 3 minutes in hot oil. Drain. Keep warm in a 250f
  degree oven.
