      Title: Cardamon roast

      4 lb Beef brisket or pot roast
    1/4 c  Shortening
      3 c  Water
      1 c  Vinegar
      2 ts Ground cardamon seed
    1/2 tb Brown sugar
      1    Onion; chopped
      1    Stalk celery; chopped
      1    Bay leaf
    1/4 ts Thyme
 
  Combine all ingredients in roasting pan. Bake 4 to 6 hours at 275
  degrees.
