      Title: Southern country gravy
 Categories: Vegetarian, Sauces
      Yield: 1 Servings
 
      1 c  Onions; diced
    3/4 ts Garlic; minced
      3 tb Oil (use the oil from frying
           -the tofu)
    1/4 c  Breading mixture left over
           -from the main recipe, or
           -unbleached flour
  1 1/2 ts Yeast, smoked
      5 ts Vogue Vegy Base
    1/2 ts Salt
    1/8 ts Black pepper
      1 c  ;water
 
   Saute the onions and garlic in the oil for 4 to 5 minutes. Stir in
  the breading mixture, yeast, soup base, salt and pepper and cook 3 to
        4    minutes longer.
   Add half of the water, whisking it into the onion and flour mixture.
  When it thickens, add the remaining water, whisking to a light
  consistency.
