      Title: Treacle toffee

      Yield: 1 Recipe
 
      1 lb Demerara sugar
    1/4 pt Water
      4 oz Butter
    1/4 ts Cream of tartar
      3 tb Black treacle
      3 tb Golden syrup
      2    Drops vinegar
 
  (LOSIN DU (TAFFI TRIOG OR CYFLAITH) Dissolve the sugar in the water.
  Add the buner   , cream of tartar, treacle and syrup. Add 2 drops
  vinegar. Bring to the boil and heat to 270/F. or 131/C. Do not stir.
  Turn into a buttered tin. After 5 minutes cut into squares. Leave to
  set.
