Finally! A collection of Radio Service information on CD-ROM! This CD-ROM covers almost every model of radio manufactured in Canada from 1938 to 1942 and from 1946 to 1948. Of course there is a gap in between where World War II curtailed production of consumer radios. Every page is scanned in grayscale - not monochrome - to enhance the readability and quality of the diagrams. At 300 dots per inch, the scanned pages are at a resolution higher than that of the analog printing equipment used in the originals! Every detail that could be read on the originals can be read on the files on this CD-ROM! And 300 dpi is twice the resolution of most other CD's of this kind!
(competitors scan at 150 dpi to cut down on production time and cost - compared with Radio Circuits Database, three quarters of the information from the originals is lost!)

With a beautiful HTML interface, this CD is both a joy to navigate and compatible with most personal computer platforms. You can view an overview of each page, expand it to full size (your scrollbars will definitely come into play here!) or even print the diagrams out from your web browser! Easy instructions are included on the CD. This CD will work with nearly any Windows or Linux PC with a web browser and it has also been tested Macs with good results. If you have a Mac, the CD includes a free utility you may need to access the Joliet file structure so you can get the most from the CD! You will not need anything else to make use of this CD. However, for the absolute best results with your printer, it will help for you to have a good paint program or DTP package installed. And if you have a Windows machine, the CD is AutoRun compatible! Just put it in and it will spawn your web browser and you're in! How easy is that!
