Note: The controller and Octet Conductor are connected via two adapter cables. One cable extends from connector J3 to the "CABLE1-IN" connector on the Octet Conductor (via external connector J2). A second cable extends from J4 to "CABLE2-IN" on the Octet Conductor (via an Adapter Cable Extender that fits into a open slot next to the controller). The cable extender provides the path between the secondary internal connector J4 and the external cable.

MISCELLANEOUS TECHNICAL INFORMATION

The Octet Conductor controller interfaces between the host system and an Octet Station, which duplicates the contents of one master drive to eight target drives. Two Octet Conductor controllers can be installed per system to perform a total of sixteen target drive duplications.
