Do any of you logon to this BBS? Have you managed to get on lately?
I have tried several times lately only to get a busy signal. I even left
my autodial on for over an hour. Is there anything wrong with it?

I log onto The Forbidden Zone on a regular basis (or did). Lately I've
had the same result as you.

Glad(?) to see that someone else has the same problem. The sysop
probably got some new equipment and is in the process of installing
it(being optimistic) or ........!!!!

The Forbidden Zone will be down untill further notice. From what I
hear they were busted by the State Police for Credir Card #'s.

Here's the deal on the Frobidden Zone BBS. I called the Riverside
Premium BBS and had the delightful opportunity to talk to the sysop. He
told me that the 14 year old sysop of the FZ had an extra node for
SPECIAL users only and that it contained mainly commercial software and
I guess he charged a fee for logging on. A company, National Software,
was also in on the bust. The FBI even set up their own BBS to nail the
kid. Get this. His dad's a cop and his uncle's an FBI agent. Boy, some
nerve. This happened last Friday and the news has already Kentucky.
Here's another way for BBS's to shut down!!!!!!!

Do you know anything more about what happened to the Forbidden zone?
How did they get busted?

How was the FBI able to use a BBS to catch the Forbidden zone?

I'm not really sure. i understand that it was used to track uploaders
of commercial software. The whole thing is still kinda sketchy.
