The Oklahoma bust of The Morgue BBS, taken down for porn and ILLEGAL text files AFTER the sysop was busted for some major phone feloni

Let me start off by saying that in no way is this a self glorification or a
self praise text file. I only wish to communicate the danger of porn and the
risk of phreaking.

I am not a self proclaimed "Fone Phreak" I consider myself a telephone
hobbyist. The phone company labeled me a "Fone Phreak".

I'm going to start off in Febuary of 1994 when two "Fone Phreaks" were out for
a good time. We were sitting by a phone cabinet on the side of an old Oklahoma
highway, just the night before we had dis-assembled a LORAIN ringing generator
and we were out to do it again.

About 8:25 P.M. we were getting out of the car when I noticed a truck, but not
just any truck, a South Western Bell truck and it wasn't alone. I tried to get
back in the car for a quick get away, but it was too late. We were arrested
that night for knowingly concealing stolen property (ripped off phone equipment)
and was charged with 11 felonies. That included:

Federal Highway communcations vandalism.
Unlawfully tapping of landlines.
Illegal use of FCC of regulated equipment.
Illegal operation of emergency communcation equipment.
Burglary of private property.

And other charges that I can't recall at this time (way too many to remember).

At this time I would like to thank the phone company employees for being so
nice to me. Thanks for the doughnuts guys.

April 7, 1994, I was at home in bed asleep. When around 10:45 A.M. the Claremore
police came banging on the door demanding entry. I heard my mom arguing with
the police. As she was arguing with them I had time to get rid of the things
I knew were on my computer. But, there was a file called "Gusher.Zip". I
didn't know it was there. The police un-compressed it with the aid of the
Claremore D.A. That was enough to seize my computer. As word spread around
companies started coming out of the woodworks. Companies such as USAA (Credit
card comany), Oncore long distance, AT&T long distance, and Sprint. USAA was
interested in a Text file that told how to build a magnetic strip reader and
writer. The rest were interested in persons calling my BBS illeagally (no
charges were filed). As I was awaiting trial I moved to Kansas City to live
with my dad. While I was there I decided to get revenge.

Using a red box and a 911 dial up I made fake emergency phone calls to Claremore
Oklahoma (my home town). The police got a little smart and decided I was the
only one that could do this and filed charges against me. They used this to
get me to plead guilty to the other charges (I didn't want to go to jail).

August 25, 1994 my computer was released to me. So of course I thought I was
in the clear. I couldn't be more wrong.

October 26, 1994 I was sent to COJDEC (Central Oklahoma Juvenile Diagnostic and
Evaluation Center) for 20 days. I was told that I wasn't a bad boy that I just
made mistakes.

December 3, 1994 I was locked up at ROCMND boys home for 5 months.

May 1, 1995 I was finally released. Needless to say I was experiencing major
computer withdraw.

Since my experience I have been able to control my urges for phones and porn.

In memory of The Morgue BBS. May 1990 - December 1994
R.I.P.

For those of you who are interested here are the logs of the day my computer
was seized and the days the police ran it.

But I was locked up from October 26th to November 14th,the BBS remained
up on remote operation from my co-sysops. Then on December 1st I was locked
up until May 1st 1995. We have not gone online again.
