How to modify my scanner to receive CMT?
For months now I have been asking friends,reading books and checking various
bulletin boards on how to do just that...but to no avail,until today.
So here it is..
    step 1) unplug the unit from the wall [safety first].
    step 2) disconnect your antenna [that's right].
    step 3) unscrew the two top screws on back and remove casing [top only].
    step 4) locate diodes D43 and D44 [behind squelch control].
    step 5) if u r nut sure wat 2 du den dont.
    step 6) snip diode D44 and push the two cut ends apart [eh].
    step 7) close the unit,plug in,switch on and push the reset button once.
You now have a continuous frequency sweep of 806MHz-960MHz CMT included.

CAUTION:- MODIFYING OR TAMPERING WITH THE SCANNER'S INTERNAL COMPONENTS CAN
CAUSE A MALFUNCTION AND MIGHT INVALIDATE THE SCANNER'S WARRANTY.
