Novatel 8300, 8301 Programming

NOVATEL 8300, 8301

NOTES:  This is a single NAM unit.
        The ESN prefix is 142 decimal & 8E hex
        Novatel 1-800-527-2885

NAM PROGRAMING:

1.  Turn power on.

2.  Enter FUNCTION LOCK # 2 5 9 quickly.

3.  The volume up key increments the steps (does not store).

4.  The SEND key toggles single digit, A/B and SET/CLR options.

5.  The SEND key stores each step.

6.  Note that data for steps 13 through 16, system id lockouts,
    must be preceded with a # sign. IE: #00031 SEND.

7.  The END key completes and exits programing mode.

CHANGING LOCK CODE:

With phone out of programing mode press MENU and scroll with volume key
until display shows "old code, level 1", enter current lock code (step 11
above) phone will display "new code, LLLL".  Enter the new code and press SEND.

LOCK: F 1.  UNLOCK: Enter four digit code.

SYSTEM SELECT:

UNITS WITH STANDARD HANDSET: F SND then SND to select.
UNITS EQUIPPED WITH THE "COMPACT CONTROL UNIT": F 8 then 8 to select.
Depending on the programing options are: PREF A, PREF B or ONLY A, ONLY B.
