::Abbreviations::

 These are the rather cryptic abbreviations & terms I've been using in my own
 notes for many years now. Feel free to learn them, use them, & love them.

  ACB - All Circuits Busy (recording)
   AM - Answering Machine
 ANAC - Automatic Number Announcement Circuit
 ATMS - Automated Trunk Maintenance/Measurement System (how she works is beyond me)
  CBC - Cannot Be Completed (recording)
  CFT - Checked For Trouble (recording)
   CS - Customer Service/Support
  DGT - Didn't Go Through (recording)
  DHC - Due to Heavy Calling (recording)
  DIS - DISconnected (recording)
  HBC - Has Been Changed (recording)
   LD - Long Distance (like I needed to tell you)
  MBX - MailBoX
  NIS - Not In Service (recording)
  NIV - Number InValid (recording)
  NPA - Numbering Plan Area (area code to everybody else)
  OGM - Out Going Message
   PA - Person Answered
  PBX - Private Branch eXchange
  REC - RECording
   RO - Ring Out (just keeps ringing)
  VMS - Voice Mail/Message System
  YCA - cannot be reached from Your Calling Area (recording)

::Glossary::

 dialtone - usually indicates a PBX or LD service
reflector - number that delays & resends received audio, ie: echo (exactly why, I don't know)
  reorder - fast busy signal
ring busy - number that's always busy
    suped - toll call
     tone - so called "milliwatt tone" or "loop tone" (various durations)
  unsuped - free call (most intercept recordings are unsuped)

::Notes on Accuracy::

While I (sometimes/almost/mostly) try to keep this file up-to-date, time
has a tendency to obliterate even the best of man's organization. Simply
put; numbers change. The more reflective individual might ponder, in a Zen
sort of way of course, that one could possibly learn something by observing
what a particular number changed into... but then again, if a lineman falls
from a pole in the forest, does he truly make a noise? Regardless, I'll try
to keep things updated. (By the way, at one time or another I actually have
checked out/dialed everything contained in this list.)

::Notes on Scan Results::

This list of numbers cuts right to the chase, or rather; this list of numbers
was never intended to be a detailed, number by number scan result list.
(Such wonders are kept in other files on my WebPage and are noted accordingly
below.) A detailed scan list--one that notes what EVERY number in a given
range and/or exchange does--can sometimes demonstrate a pattern regarding
number assignments; a sort of method to Big Brother TelCo's madness if you
will. Then again, reading though such a list can get a little stuffy after a
while, which is why the Blue Fuzzy Numbers file is supposed to be the meat on
the bone, as opposed to the whole muscular-skeletal system. (Wait a second,
am I mixing metaphors again?)
