Nortel Norstar Voice Mail

Norstar Voice Mail has a default password of 0000, but the VMB is not active until this password is changed.  The new password cannot begin with zero and must be 4 to 8 digits long.  Although the manual specifically warns against choosing passwords like 1234 and 1111, these remain likely choices by some users, especially since 1111 is illustrated elsewhere in the manual as a password.

Only once set up can a Norstar VMB be accessed from outside.
