PROBLEM:       Upon receiving certain types of HTTP requests, the webproxy may 
               forward the requests to systems inside the network without 
               applying other modules' translation phase modifications to the 
               URI. 
PLATFORM:      HP9000 Servers running HP-UX 11.04 (VVOS), HP Praesidium 
               Webproxy A.01.00 only. 
DAMAGE:        Potential unauthorized access to inside the network. 
SOLUTION:      Apply the patch supplied by vendor.

VULNERABILITY  The risk is MEDIUM. The vulnerability may allow unauthorized

The information in the following Security Bulletin should be acted
upon as soon as possible.  Hewlett-Packard Company will not be
liable for any consequences to any customer resulting from customer's
failure to fully implement instructions in this Security Bulletin as
soon as possible.

PROBLEM:  Security Vulnerability using HP Praesidium Webproxy 1.0.

PLATFORM: HP9000 Servers running HP-UX 11.04 (VVOS), HP Praesidium
          Webproxy A.01.00 only.

DAMAGE:   Potential unauthorized access to inside network

SOLUTION: Install the appropriate patch for the Webproxy release:
                  A.01.00          PHSS_26478

MANUAL ACTIONS: none 

AVAILABILITY:  The patch is available now.

A. Background
   Webproxy 1.0, upon receiving certain types of HTTP requests,
   may forward the requests to the SYSTEM INSIDE network without
   applying other modules' translation phase modifications to the
   URI.

 B. Recommended solution
    Apply patch PHSS_26478 to HP-UX release 11.04.

 C. To subscribe to automatically receive future NEW HP Security
