It is possible to log in to the unit using TELNET. The password is
'private'.
To change the password, the following info was supplied by D-link tech
support:
You can change the telnet password by using snmp access write function
on the DSL-500/504.
Under console prompt:
192.168.0.1> snmp access write <password>
192.168.0.1> config save
192.168.0.1> restart
snmp access syntax:
snmp access [read | write] <community>
- allow read-only or read-write access
snmp access delete <community>
- revoke specified access
snmp access flush
- revoke all access
snmp access list - list allowed access
