 Introduction:

Have you ever been inside a bell can and wondered wich lines work,
without having to get out you big lineman's handset? Well I have come
up with a simple soulition, called the D.U.O. box.

 Materails:

  (2) Aligator clips
  (2) Pieces of wire (1ft. or shorter)
  (1) Modular phone jack
  (1) Raido Shack telephone line tester (Cat. No. 43-104)

 Construction:

The Construction is verry simple. First connect an aligetor clip te
one end of each pice of wire. Second connect one wire to the green
terminal on the phone jack and one to the red terminal. Next plug the
line tester into the the phone jack and your set.

 Use:

To use this, next time your in a bell can, connect the aligator
clips to the terminals in the can. If a green light on the line
tester is on, then you have a working line. If a red light is on the
polarity is reversed, And if there is no light at all then keep
trying...
