NEC P300 Programming

NEC P300

NOTES:  This unit is available in single and quad NAM versions
        The ESN prefix is 135 decimal & 87 hex.
        An NEC programing adaptor must be used to program these units.
        NEC: 1-800-421-2141

NAM programing:

1.  Determine if you have a single NAM or quad NAM unit:  Press FCN 3 2,
    quad NAM units will display "NAM 1", 2, 3 or 4 and the phone number,
    single NAM units will display the phone number only.

2.  Later units follow a slightly different procedure, these are identified
    by an ESN greater than (13500)839600

ACCESSING PROGRAMING MODE ON SINGLE NAM UNITS:

1.  With the power off connect the NEC programing adaptor (part# MPS-A-3576).

2.  Turn power on.

3.  Press RCL # 7 1.

4.  Press # to increment and store each step.

5.  At any time press and hold CLR to complete and exit programing.

ACCESSING PROGRAMING MODE ON QUAD NAM UNITS WITH AN ESN LESS THAN 13500 839601

1.  With the power off connect the NEC programing adaptor (part# MPS-A-3576)

2.  Turn power on.

3.  (Optional) Press RCL # 7 6 N #, where N=0 (NAM 1), N=1 (NAM 2),
    N=2 (NAM 3).

4.  Press RCL # 7 1.

5.  Press # to increment and store each step.

6.  At any time press and hold CLR to complete and exit programing.
    Repeat steps 3 through 5 to program other NAMs if required.

ACCESSING PROGRAMING MODE ON QUAD NAM UNITS WITH AN ESN GREATER THAN
13500 839600

1.  With the power off connect the NEC programing adaptor (part# MPS-A-3576)

2.  Turn power on.

3.  Press RCL # 0 1 to enter test mode.

4.  (Optional) Press RCL # 7 6 N #, where N=0 (NAM 1), N=1 (NAM 2),
    N=2 (NAM 3).

5.  Press RCL # 7 1

6.  Press # to increment and store each step.

7.  At any time press and hold CLR to return to test mode.
    Repeat steps 4 through 6 to program other NAMs if required.

9.  From test mode press RCL # 0 2 to complete and exit programing.

LOCK & UNLOCK: F 6 four digit code then press 1 and scroll with volume keys to
select: Normal, PL (Partial Lock), FL (Full Lock), press STO to store.

SYSTEM SELECT: F 5 3 then volume or */# to scroll, STO to store..
