NEC M4700 (TR5E800-11H) QUAD NAM NOTES: This is quad NAM unit. The ESN prefix is 135 decimal, 87 hex. NEC: 1-800-421-2141 1. This phone officially requires an NEC programing adaptor part number 41-2012, if you have one attach it between the data cable and the transceiver and power up the phone. If you do not have a programing adaptor one can be made from a 15 pin D plug and a 15 pin D socket. Wire it straight through and jumper pins 2 and 11. Connect this between the transceiver and data cable and power up the phone. (New units may display FAULT 3 when first turned on, this is normal. With your programing adaptor installed initialize the phone by entering RCL # 0 1, RCL # 5 2, RCL # 0 2. The phone should re-cycle and wake up with no FAULT code.) 2. Having powered up the phone using one of the above methods press RCL # 0 1 to enter test mode. 5. Press RCL # 7 1 to enter programing mode. 4. (Optional) Press RCL # 7 6 N where N=0 (NAM 1), N=1 (NAM 2), N=2 (NAM 3) or N=3 (NAM 4). 6. The # key stores and increments each step. 7. Press CLR briefly to correct an entry. 8. At any time press and hold CLR to exit programing mode then press RCL # 0 2 to exit test mode.
