you've probably seen the movie "Hackers" (bleh) where the dude dials the phone by hitting the
hang up key and tells the operator he's having trouble placing a call.

well, in real life, you don't have to call the operator, you can just call the person directly.
i've not been to jail (phew) so i don't know if they really lock the phones like that, but i have
been to hotels where they do it to the lobby phone so people can only dial when the clerk is
there.

to place a call with the hangup key, simple follow this guide:

	1 - 1 click
	2 - 2 clicks
	3 - 3 clicks
	4 - 4 clicks
	5 - 5 clicks
	6 - 6 clicks
	7 - 7 clicks
	8 - 8 clicks
	9 - 9 clicks
	0 - 10 clicks

now, to do this, just pick up the phone, and rapidly (and evenly) dial the number.  let's say
i wanted to call 1-800-265-5328 (1-800-COLLECT).  i would simply pick up the phone, press the
hang up key and let go quickly, pause, hit the key 8 times rapidly and evenly, pause, hit the
key 2 times rapidly and evenly, pause, hit the key 10 times rapidly and evenly, pause, hit
the key 10 times rapidly and evenly, pause, hit the key 2 times rapidly and evenly, pause (see
a pattern yet?)

try this on your phone.  at best, you can use it to charge long distance calls from motels,
at worst, you can entertain your drunk friends.
