The 890 exchange services 7 different area codes, but each area code can be reached 
from an ajoining NPA for free because it is a local call. 890 is typically Verizon 
offices only, but I remember reaching the Coast Guard a few years back dialing a 
random 890 number. Oh yeah, these are a free call from payphones.

This is how the 890 exchange is layed out. It's pretty straightforward, as you can see:
