ATIS telephone numbers (March 2004) These numbers are ATIS, Air Traffic Information Service automated lines. These are just a few major ones; most airports have them. Their purpose is to inform pilots of weather and airport conditions and are always simulcast* on VHF (because not all pilots have cellphones in the air). We say "simulcast" because this text file is written from the point of view of a phone scanner who may have stumbled on an ATIS line. --- www.artofhacking.com What's on your caller ID?
