Hi there. Since I didn't know who to send this to, I sent it to the three of you. Upon reading your listings for zone 3, I realized that the French listing was not as detailed as it could be. Here is a list of French STDs, for potential inclusion, if you see fit, in the telecom archives. Feel free to edit the explanation, I realize it is a little convoluted, but it's Friday evening...

Best regards,
Thierry.

33 France
[France is currently divided into two dialing zones: the Paris region (zone 1), and the rest of France (zone 9). Within a zone, subscribers all have an 8D number, where the first four digits identify the local exchange and the last four digits identify the subscriber.]
+-----------+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| To dial | from zone 1 | from zone 9 | from abroad |
+-----------+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| to zone 1 | 8D | 16 1 8D | 33 1 8D |

| to zone 9 | 16 8D | 8D | 33 8D |
